The Beginnings

Baconsult Ltd.

STRT Holding's predecessor, Baconsult Kft., was established as a family consulting and investment company under the leadership of Péter Balogh and Mária Balogh-Mázi. Following Petya NNG's (iGO navigation) exit, angel investing and mentoring activities began here, laying the foundations for the later STRT.

Péter Balogh will be one of the founding investors of "Cápák Között" (the Hungarian version of Shark Tank). Through his participation, the investment approach and knowledge represented by the founders of STRT will become nationally known and recognized, which will significantly increase the number and quality of incoming investment opportunities.

The STRT Academy Foundation is born

Péter Balogh recognizes that there is a huge, unmet demand for personal mentoring and practical business knowledge. During the Covid pandemic, he launches his first online training courses to share his knowledge and experience with many more founders at once. This marks the birth of STRT Academy and lays the foundation for the holding company's future "smart money" model based on knowledge sharing.

The Birth of the Brand and the Team

STRT is founded

The investment activity outgrows the family framework. Péter Balogh and Mária Balogh-Mázi are joined by István Nagy, András P. Tóth, and Péter Langmár to jointly create the STRT brand. This marks the birth of the core of the company: a founding team consisting of seasoned, proven, and recognized company builders and investors from the domestic startup ecosystem. The goal of their joint effort is to build a professional, scalable investment engine.

KÜRT Academy Joins

STRT Holding acquires the training division of KÜRT Academy, one of Hungary's most respected training centers. With this move, the already successful education division is expanded with an extremely stable and recognized element, solidifying the holding company's two-pillar model.

Establishment of the Fund Manager

STRT Alapkezelő Zrt. is established as an independent organisation licensed by the Hungarian National Bank. This step is essential to enable the group to manage dedicated venture capital funds that are attractive to institutional investors in the future.
