Startup investment

#caveat emptor

Investing in startups is very risky. It requires a great deal of expertise, is completely illiquid in most cases and can easily result in the loss of all investments.

#startup investing

Based on international statistics and practices, the performance of startups is highly variable. This means that while a significant proportion will go bankrupt, a smaller proportion will succeed, but an even smaller proportion will be very successful, making hundreds of times the capital invested. Therefore, although investing in startups is incredibly risky, by thinking in terms of a portfolio, investing in many companies and spreading the risks, you can expect more stable and balanced results. We don’t have a crystal ball, so it’s still very risky what we’re doing.

#accessible and #liquid

Our aim is to make this investment category available to individuals and institutional investors through the stock exchange. Since companies are recruited, selected and supported by our expert team through our knowledge programme, we are able to build a broad portfolio of companies. Therefore, we make value creation available to our shareholders. We are working to ensure that our company, STRT Holding Zrt. is listed on the stock exchange as soon as possible and, as a first step, can be tradable on BSE Xtend. This opens up the possibility of investing in the sector, even for small amounts, in a liquid and controlled way.

#growth

Our goal is to grow into the region’s leading startup investor over the next ten years. We will therefore be raising more capital in the coming years to further expand our activities and portfolio.

#portfolio evaluation

To meet the requirements of stock market transparency, we have developed a methodology with external experts that will evaluate our startup investments. This allows us to provide our investors with regular, audited information regarding the performance of the assets we manage and the results of our activities.
